Escrow Agency may be used for the smooth and impartial facilitation of a certain transaction between two parties, most commonly during the buying or selling of assets.

Features

The Bank's Trust and Investments Services Department (TISD) acts an Escrow Agent that is required to be a neutral third party. It holds money, securities, properties and other similar assets and oversees the performance, compliance and completion of arrangements between the other two parties. With this, the parties are automatically entitled to:

  • An independent handling of the transaction
  • Protection of interest
  • Compliance with obligations stated in the agreement
  • Investment opportunities while the fund is with the Escrow Agent for safekeeping
