Currency Exchange of Ukrainian Hryvnia to
Philippine Peso in CTBC Bank Branches

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has opened the Currency Exchange Facility (CEF) Program for Overseas Filipinos (OFs) and their family members returning from Ukraine starting February 18, 2022. The Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH) may be exchanged to Philippine Peso, however amounts exceeding PhP20,000.00 shall be subject to BSP approval and presentation of documentary requirements in any CTBC Bank branch until September 30, 2022.

Accomplish the applicable CEF Conversion Slip (for returning OF/family member; for authorized representative/family member) and submit below list of documentary requirements to the branch:

• Original passport or travel document issued by the Philippine Embassy in Poland with exit stamp by the Ukrainian authorities and/or authorities from other countries that served as exit points for repatriation; or

 

• Certified true copy of such travel document stating the name of the said government agency and name and signature of an authorized official of said government agency

 

• Additional documents to be submitted by OFs with other exit points other than Ukraine and were not able to present exit stamps from said countries:

• Affidavit narrating the circumstances of the OF’s exit in Ukraine; or
• Previous Ukraine visa or identification card proving that the individual is a former Overseas Filipino in Ukraine

Other documents will be required should the OF will authorize a representative to perform the currency exchange transaction on his/her behalf.
